Accreditation

Independent, externally verified standards — not claims we make about ourselves.

Licensing

Licensed by the Ministry of Education

Evolution International School operates under licence from the Ministry of Education of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The licence is what permits the school to exist and to teach; it is granted and renewed by the national regulator against Egyptian requirements for premises, safety, staffing and curriculum.

Accreditation is a separate matter, and voluntary. We seek it because a licence establishes that a school is lawful, while accreditation establishes how good it is — judged by people from outside the school, against published international standards, on a cycle that does not end.

Licence and registration documents are available for inspection at the school office on request.
Beyond the licence

Three independent accreditors

IB Continuum

IB Continuum School

EVO delivers the International Baccalaureate continuum — the Primary Years Programme, the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme — as an IB World School.

IB school code 061134

Middle States Association — accredited

Middle States Association

EVO is accredited by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools, a US-based accreditor whose standards cover governance, curriculum, resources and continuous school improvement.

CIS accredited school

Council of International Schools

CIS provides independent, cyclical accreditation covering governance, safeguarding, teaching and learning, and student wellbeing.

LVNG

LVNG & NGSM governance

Accreditation strategy, safeguarding policy and quality assurance are set and monitored above school level, through the group's educational brand.

Why three accreditors?

Each looks at something different. The IB authorises the programmes. MSA and CIS examine the institution — its governance, safeguarding, resourcing and improvement planning — from a US and an international perspective respectively.

IB, MSA and CIS marks are used under the terms of each organisation's brand guidelines. Official assets are sourced from the IB digital toolkit, the MSA-CESS member resources and the CIS members' area. The Ministry of Education is the licensing authority, not an accreditor, and its licence is stated in words rather than shown as a mark.
What accreditation means for families

Why it matters

The continuum means no restart
Because EVO runs PYP, MYP and DP under one roof, a child moving up does not switch educational philosophies at each transition. The approach to inquiry, assessment and learner agency is continuous from the early years to the Diploma.
Your child's qualifications travel
The IB Diploma is recognised by universities worldwide. Authorisation means the programme is delivered to IB standards and externally examined by the IB, not by us.
Someone external checks our work
MSA-CESS and CIS accreditation are both cyclical processes: self-study, external team visit, findings, and required actions. They cover governance, safeguarding and wellbeing as well as academics.
Standards are continuous, not one-off
IB authorisation, MSA-CESS accreditation and CIS accreditation all require ongoing evidence and periodic re-evaluation. They are commitments to maintain, not certificates to hang.
Group-level oversight
LVNG sets accreditation strategy across NGSM schools, so quality assurance is monitored above school level as well as within it.
